  • LINE User ID (when using LINE notification integration)
  • WhatsApp contact phone number (when using WhatsApp notification integration)

The Company uses collected personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provision, operation, maintenance, and improvement of this Service
  • User identity verification and authentication
  • Communication with users and inquiry responses
  • Sending new request notifications (email, LINE, WhatsApp)
  • Sending chat message notifications (email, LINE, WhatsApp)
  • Notifications regarding account approval or rejection
  • Management of external service integration status (including authentication and error management)
  • Recording of notification delivery history
  • Investigation and response to Terms of Service violations

4. Notification Functions

This Service provides the following notification functions for smooth service operation:

4.1 Types of Notifications Sent

  • New Request Notifications: Notifications when new buy requests or sell offers are registered
  • Chat Message Notifications: Notifications when new messages are received in chat
  • System Notifications: Important notifications regarding account approval/rejection and security

4.2 LINE Notification Function

  • LINE notification integration is an optional feature. All service functions are available without linking.
  • During LINE linking, your LINE User ID is obtained through OAuth authentication and stored on our servers.
  • LY Corporation's LINE Messaging API is used for notification delivery.
  • Notification content (request information, partial chat messages, etc.) is transmitted via LY Corporation's servers.
  • Upon unlinking, your stored LINE User ID is promptly deleted.

4.3 WhatsApp Notification Function

  • WhatsApp notification integration is an optional feature. All service functions are available without linking.
  • During WhatsApp linking, your phone number is verified via verification code and stored on our servers.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc.'s WhatsApp Business API is used for notification delivery.
  • Notification content is transmitted via Meta Platforms, Inc.'s servers.
  • Upon unlinking, your stored phone number is promptly deleted.

4.4 Consent for Email Notifications

Users must consent to receiving new request notifications and chat message notifications upon user registration. Consent to these notifications is a mandatory condition for using this Service, and the Service cannot be used if declined.

4.5 Notification Frequency Control

For system load reduction and usability improvement, the following controls are implemented:

  • Low-priority notifications may be delayed
  • Notifications may be stopped during system maintenance

5. Third Party Provision of Personal Information

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent from users, except as required by law.

However, when users voluntarily link with external messaging notification services, data will be transmitted to the following service providers to the extent necessary for notification delivery. Completion of the linking procedure shall be deemed as consent to such transmission.

  • Purpose: Sending notifications via LINE messages

  • Personal data provided: Phone number, notification message content
  • Purpose: Sending notifications via WhatsApp messages

5-2. Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties in Foreign Countries

When using WhatsApp notification integration, personal data is provided to Meta Platforms, Inc. (located in Menlo Park, California, USA).

Personal Information Protection Systems in the Destination Country

  • The United States does not have a comprehensive federal law equivalent to Japan's Act on Protection of Personal Information.
  • The State of California has the CCPA/CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act), which provides certain personal information protections.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. implements protective measures such as communication encryption under the WhatsApp Business Policy.

6. Outsourcing of Personal Information

The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to third parties. In such cases, the Company will provide necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure that personal information security management is maintained by the outsourcing party.

7. Retention Period of Personal Information

The Company will retain personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and will appropriately dispose of it after achieving the purpose. However, if retention is required by law, the Company will retain the information during such period.
